Monsoon Season

It's monsoon season in Colorado Springs, which typically means that the day starts out sunny and warm and ends with late afternoon/early evening thunderstorms and downpours. Since the weather is very "untypical" these days, the monsoon season hasn't been consistent. However, during the last week to ten days, we have been enjoying afternoon showers most days. What a difference this makes to our parched landscape! We noticed this yesterday while hiking in the mountains - a lot of beautiful green. This is a very refreshing sight, and we are soaking it up!

This afternoon's "monsoon".
