Best pizza in town!

Last night we spent the evening with our good friends, Rex and Lois, and were treated to homemade pizza in their outdoor pizza oven. Best pizza in town, hands down! Each pizza took only approximately 3-4 minutes to bake and tasted absolutely delicious!

Market Day

Four years ago this month when we moved to Ohio for a year, we lived in a house that was one mile from Hartville Marketplace. I loved visiting it from time to time especially to buy fresh produce. It is a huge indoor and outdoor market that is open three times a week. It is well known and is a very popular place.
I decided to go and visit it on Saturday. I have never seen it so big! There were 100's and 100's of outdoor vendors, most of them flea market-type stuff. There are also many stands selling fresh fruits and vegetables.

Kettle corn! This is the best! I resisted the urge to buy some. I bought lots of fresh fruit instead.

Stateside

Time for an update! We arrived in Ohio ten days ago and are staying with Tim's parents in Stow. Here are a few pictures taken en route.
Lots of luggage because of Tyler heading off to college.
We overnighted near Frankfurt because we had an early morning flight from there to Chicago. We went on a walk after getting to our hotel - one last walk in the beautiful countryside.

Good-bye, Germany!

Tomorrow we leave our home to travel to the States for the summer. All four of us are going to miss Germany for many reasons. One thing that I will really miss is walking out my door and being on the golf course (where I love to walk) in just two minutes! Or going for long walks in the forest which is only a five minute walk from our house. These pictures show the amazing scenery that I will miss!
I know that Ohio is beautiful, too! And I am looking forward to what God has in store for us and how He is going to use us to bless others. That is what we want to do!

A Sunday morning in Basel

Yesterday morning we went to the cathedral in Basel for church. It is evangelical reformed; the whole service was in German of course. Quite amazing! The huge pipe organ sounded so majestic in that immense place!

Trying to sneak a photo during church! I set the camera on my lap and pointed it upwards.....

I loved the way the the preacher's voice echoed in the cathedral!

Outside of the cathedral

Seems this church is under constant renovation!
