Last small group time of school year

Tonight was the last time for small groups to meet this school year. We had my girls over for a BBQ and then we watched a movie together.
Katey and Olivia(the two on the left) are going back to the States next year. We will sure miss them! We have had an awesome year getting to know each other and growing together.

Two of our fantastic teachers, Becky and Alyssa, who are doing an incredible job in the Art Department at BFA! Becky, Alyssa and Mandy put together the first ever art show of this kind this year. It was very well attended and makes us proud of our students and their creative, God-given talent.

Spring Concert

On Sunday afternoon we enjoyed BFA's final concert of the year. The sad part was seeing all of the musicians from the Senior class perform for the last time. They will be missed next year!

Power Plant Field Trip

Today I, Tim, got to go with the chemistry class on a field trip to a nearby nuclear power plant in Switzerland. It was awesome!! This is a picture of the visitor center with the cooling tower in the background.

Highlights included going into the cooling tower and actually entering the "core" and being able to see the dome of the reactor.

Here I am with some of the BFA guys just prior to entering the core. We had to completely change clothes, right down to socks, shoes and yes, skivvies, and put on these funny outfits so our own clothes didn't get contaminated. We also had to carry small meters to monitor the radiation levels we were exposed to. The whole experience is actually quite serious and intimidating. I'm sure none of us will ever forget this day. Very few people in the world get to see what we did.

The nuclear power plant is an amazing example of man's creative genius tapping into God's power found in nature.

Jr/Sr Banquet

Tonight is our annual Jr/Sr banquet at BFA. This is one of the highlights of the year and a very special and memorable evening for the students. The Junior class hosts the evening as a way to honor the Senior class. Below are a collage of pictures taken before the evening program began.
