Yeah for Birthdays!

Today my small group helped Lizzy celebrate her 17th Birthday. I brought hot lunch and cake to school for them.

Beautiful Lizzy and her very cool brother!

Reflections

One of the rewards of early morning walks on our local golf course, when it is very calm and peaceful......
Reflections are one of the many displays of God's creation that truly fascinate me!

One morning last week I hiked up to the top of the golf course and sat on a park bench and watched the sun rise. Spectacular!

Mist rising off of the pond

These sprinkles come on without warning so you have to be careful where you are walking!

A few more memories from Kenya

The last of Kenya M Trip photos - these were taken by Bernie who runs the school called Helping Hands. Half of our team worked here while the other half worked at the orphanage. Aren't these little kids beautiful?! A number of them are physically handicapped and all of them do not have many worldly possessions. They were delighted to be able to play with balloons, to blow bubbles, to make The Wordless Book, to play games together with our team, and most of all, to receive a lot of love and attention from our team members!

Saturday morning Starbucks in a meadow!

This morning Tim and I were up early and went up to a spot high above our town, Tim with his home brewed Starbucks in hand, to sit in a meadow and talk and enjoy the breathtaking panoramic view. It was a wonderfully clear morning and we were able to see the Swiss Alps!

Our beautiful town! Our house is on the far left of the picture - the one with the two gable windows in the red tile roof.

Dorm Life

Tonight was our night to help out at Storchenblick dorm. Here's Jae Na and Yuni who were fascinated by Tim's artwork on his computer

Whenever we work at the dorm I usually bake something. Tonight was apple spice cake with a caramel glaze.
