Getting ready for Kenya

This morning we enjoyed some team bonding when we all went to the tropical clinic in Basel to endure vaccinations for Kenya. There are 24 of us altogether so it took several hours. Later, we took everyone to Starbucks/Burger King/McD's (they could choose) for some recovery time and comfort food!

A very nice nurse! I think she really enjoyed our group and the different reactions from some of our team members!

Deborah and Tyler doing homework - haha!

Three beautiful seniors who we will miss next year!

"I don't like this part of going to Kenya!"

"MOTHER!"

"1001, 1002, 1003...."

Happy Birthday!

What a wonderful day it was for me! It was a holiday in Germany so no school! Tim, Tyler, and I went to see a movie in the afternoon, then out for Chinese food for dinner. While we were gone, my small group sneaked into our house and decorated it, and I walked in to a surprise party! Very fun! It was "the icing on the cake" to a great Birthday!

Anna wore green because she knows I like green!

Lizzy and Jessica baked me a cake!

Family Pizza Party

Today, following our Sunday morning service, we celebrated our C&MA family at BFA with a pizza party. There are approximately 45 of us altogether including students attending BFA and staff who work at BFA or in the area.

The pizza shop gave us one pizza as a gift to celebrate the recent birth of his baby girl, Delia.

Tyler in Texas - Part II

Tyler arrived back home this afternoon from his week long visit to Texas. He had a great time with his host family and a very positive experience at LeTourneau. Here are some memories that he brought back with him.

Tyler, Deena (who traveled with Tyler from BFA), and Deena's grandpa.

One of the highlights of Tyler's weekend at LeTourneau was the opportunity to fly! One of the flight instructors took him up. Tyler was able to take some pictures of the campus from the air.

This is the plane that Tyler flew in.

Controls that Tyler hopes to someday be in control of!
