German Bakerei

If you haven't lived in Germany you won't appreciate this blog.
Tim and I visited a popular Germany bakery in Colorado Springs this morning. It made us homesick. It was so weird to hear people speaking German with real authentic German accents, and to see German everywhere in the store, even German magazines. The best part of course was the German baking, especially the pretzels!! Its a good thing the bakery is quite far from our house otherwise we would likely frequent it too often!

Back to school!

Luke and Tyler are back in college after being in Colorado with us for Christmas break. Luke is currently doing a three week winter term before starting his last semester at Taylor. He is also playing intramural volleyball. Here is his team!

Tyler sent us a picture of the official copy of his private pilots license that was waiting for him when he returned to LeTourneau University after Christmas. Way to go, Tyler! We are very proud of you!

Empty nest once again

This picture makes me sad. I took it during Christmas break when everyone was home. Now it's back to just Tim and me. Luke has been back in college for one week, and Tyler is on his way back to LeTourneau today. I sure don't like good-byes, but I am thankful to God for a wonderful Christmas with our boys.

What a gorgeous day! Very cold but beautiful blue sky - we shoo-ed everybody out of the house, hoping to go on a hike but it ended up being too windy and frigid, so we toured in the car.
