One of our ministries at BFA.....

Tim and I help out in one of the girls' residences at BFA on the dorm parents' day off. We go to the dorm for the evening meal and then stay into study hours.

Saurse and Jin are roommates. Here they are in the kitchen chopping up bars of chocolate to make chocolate chip cookies.

Rebecca needed some help with one of her school assignments so Tim was able to give her some good suggestions.

Each of the girls in the dorm has a gratis that they are responsible for. Here are two members of the happy dish crew!

Niall is the dorm parents' son - poor guy! He has to live with a houseful of girls!

Beautiful! All of them!

Happy Birthday!

Jessica, whose parents work in Ethiopia, is in my small group. She turned 17 this week so I took her and a friend out for coffee and cake on Sunday afternoon. Then on Tuesday, her real Birthday(and Election Day!) I brought hot lunch to school for our small group and we celebrated with her. She is in the middle in the picture below.

Basel by night

Basel, a 20 minute drive from our house, is our favorite "local" city. It is especially beautiful at night!

Awed by my Creator!

I have been enjoying leisurely strolls through the beautiful Schwarzwald this past week. It is the perfect setting to worship my Creator - the Master Artist - who gave me all of this to enjoy! Sometimes I just stop and soak it all in. Everywhere I look I see His handiwork. It really does astound me and causes me to thank Him time and again for lavishing me with so much beauty...............
I think this picture looks like an optical illusion, but it is where two paths converge in the forest.

This picture was taken this morning. The one below, taken in the same spot, was taken two days ago. I noticed how the colors have changed in just a short time.
I am pleasantly surprised by how many leaves are still on trees even though it is November.

Halloween Visitors

Halloween is a very low key celebration here in Germany. German kids do not usually go trick or treating and there are virtually no Halloween decorations. However, we did have some BFA trick or treaters who came to our door last night!
Jessica and Lizzy, two of my small group girls

The Dueck sisters and the Duhan sisters - having a hard time trying to look serious for the camera!

Jonathan Bryan, Tim's great nephew came trick or treating with his mom and dad

Jonathan and KD kept chasing each other! He had so much fun with our dog and we kept laughing at them "play tag".
