During our week in Kenya our team of 24 was split up into two groups during the day, one group serving at a school and the other group ministering at an orphanage. Tommy and I lead the group that went to the orphanage.
We did a lot of manual labor, but our first priority was the children. We were told that if we preferred to hold a child rather then wash clothes or peel potatoes, the children always come first! We had the opportunity to do a lot of both, but I think that the most rewarding for all of us was our interaction with the kids.
Here is our team of 12 and with the orphanage kids (except the babies who were taking their afternoon nap) and some of their staff.
I have posted a lot of pictures, mainly because of parents of students who would like to see pictures of their son or daughter.
It was awesome being able to love on these children and receive their warm response to us.
