Man's Best Friend?

KD: "Me or the laptop? Me or the laptop? What's a dog gotta do to get a little attention around here?"

KD: "What's so interesting about the internet anyway? I wonder when we can go and play?"

BFA Board Meetings

This is the BFA Board members in action.

We just concluded two full days of meetings. I still have my job. :-)

We are meeting in Room 31 of the Janz Building on the BFA Main campus. This particular room is the lastest addition to our campus and we are very pleased with how it turned out.

BFA Home Track Meet - May 5

We use the track in the city of Loerrach, Germany to host an annual meet. It was a cloudy, cool, and slightly rainy day - perfect for runners. We compete against DODDS schools. DODDS=Department of Dependents Schools (US high schools on military bases).
Here is Bill Bateman, BFA high school Principal - meet announcer.

I took over for Bill about halfway through. Our job is to keep the meet moving by calling the athletes to their events.

John Olsen, BFA senior, in a relay. Go man go.

Kandern May Pole

Here in Germany they still put up May Poles in most towns and villages. This is put up in time for May Day - that's today - May 1, also known as labor day.

This is Kandern's May Pole. It's a very tall pine tree that was trimmed off all of its limbs and decorated at the top.

The pole placed in the "Blumen Platz" one of two squares in our town.
