Sights and Sounds of Bogota

Mangosteen fruit.

Local snack in Bogota - thin wafers and caramel spread.

Tim's new friend, Juan. Colombian coffee is amazing!

Snapshots from a local Saturday market.

Tim really wanted to bring this hammock home with us!

Portable coffee! This gentleman was walking through the market with a coffee percolator on his back.

Another popular local dessert - waffles with a variety of delicious toppings.

Shopping mall decorated for Christmas. Some of these strings of lights hung from the roof of the mall on the 4th floor all the way to the ground floor. It really looked spectacular!

Colombian people are strikingly beautiful, adults and kids alike.

Restroom signage.

Papa Noel - Colombian Santa Claus visiting the mall.

Torrential rain. A typical day in Colombia at this time of year starts out sunny in the morning. Then the rains come in the afternoon. We got caught in it more than once!

Conferences in Thailand

Tim traveled to Bangkok, Thailand, to attend a large educators conference (1300 delegates!) and then to host an administrators conference. Here are some snapshots from his trip.
The city from his hotel window.

Streets of Bangkok.

Ouch! This looks painful!
