If you haven't lived in Germany you won't appreciate this blog.
Tim and I visited a popular Germany bakery in Colorado Springs this morning. It made us homesick. It was so weird to hear people speaking German with real authentic German accents, and to see German everywhere in the store, even German magazines. The best part of course was the German baking, especially the pretzels!! Its a good thing the bakery is quite far from our house otherwise we would likely frequent it too often!

Mmmm! I want a pretzel! Envious! :)
So happy for you! I ate an German apple the other day and thought of you! I know how much you loved apples here.
OOOhhhh, that makes me hungry! 35 cents for a hard roll-what a steal. Wish we lived nearby. We would be blimps.
We had a German bakery in Winnipeg as well. It's called "The Crusty Bun". Haven't been there yet but have heard great reports. One day we will stop and compare products with you!
actually, we HAVE a German bakery. too early in the morning to be typing.....:)
The girls and I discovered this bakery for the first time this Christmas. It was like stepping back in time to Germany (except for the cashier with a Spanish name!) We went around oohing and aahing, and hearts aching. I must say that I could not bring myself to pay $9:75 for a small stollen though!!
