Christa and Esther had to leave BFA in December because of their education needs that required them to prepare for university in the Swiss school system. They came back for a visit last night and to re-connect with our small group.

My wonderful small group
My small group of juniors, soon to be seniors at BFA, were all together one last time last night before summer break. We ate dinner at a favorite restaurant and then ended the evening with cheesecake and fresh strawberries in our home. These girls are a delight and I look forward to investing in their lives next year before they all head off to college.

Special times....
Last night we had some of Tyler's classmates over for a special dinner. This is one of the ways we wanted to honor Tyler and his friends since they will be graduating from BFA in just over a week. Even though it was over 30 C outside, hence a little bit warm inside our house, we had such a great time together. Bittersweet for Tim and I. We will really miss these students next year, especially Tyler.
We are very happy to have Luke home with us for Tyler's graduation. He finished his exams last week and arrived very sleep deprived on Friday.

Technical Drawing Class
Tim has been teaching a Technical Drawing class again this semester - 15 students this time round (last semester there were only 6). I brought them freshly baked cookies the other day to encourage them in their progress! They are currently finishing off their final project - building a house that they have designed.

Giving my professional opinion on Ernie's construction! Actually, his house is very cool - it has some huge windows which I would like to have in my dream home!

Tyler is one of Tim's students this semester and is enjoying this class. Here he is hard at work!

African Children's Choir
Two nights ago Tim and I took four of our BFA students to see Watoto - the African children's choir. Three of these young ladies were on the Kenya M team with me, so listening to the African kids singing was especially meaningful to us. Spending time with Alanna, Kate, Kristi, and Debra was also a highlight for Tim and I!

Check it out!
Check out a clip from one of our favorite songs at the concert yesterday! Of course when you know the students, it makes it a lot funnier! My favorite is Peter, third from the right! At the last minute, he filled in for his friend who couldn't perform because of a leg injury and being on crutches. He did not practice the choreography until that afternoon before the concert! I'd say he did a great job, wouldn't you agree?
BFA Spring Concert
Sunday afternoon was BFA's final concert of the year. It brought tears to my eyes. Our students are so amazing and we are very proud of them. We are very sad that so many of them are leaving after this year because they are graduating.
The music performances were stellar! God has blessed these students with a great deal of talent and He has also blessed our community with some amazingly gifted teachers who help them to reach their potential.
