Evening Hike in Garden of the Gods

Beautiful night for a walk in Garden of the Gods. There are so many yucca plants in Garden of the Gods - one area of the park has a meadow of them, and they are just now starting to bloom! I am looking forward to going back on the weekend to see how they have progressed.
The blossoms of the yucca plant look a little like an upside down tulip, and they are different shades of white (this first picture is not a yucca plant....)

Tim enjoys sketching interesting places, especially buildings, when his work takes him overseas. He will sketch something on site and then often finish it on the plane to help pass the time on a long flight. Here are a few sketches from his latest trip to Dublin (Ireland), Prague (Czech Republic), and Kiev (Ukraine).

 
 

 

 

Full Moon and Night Sky over Colorado Springs

These pictures were taken on two different nights - during full moon in April and full moon in May. They were shot from the back patio and front porch of our house. We enjoy awesome views facing east (the city lights) and west (the Front Range and Pikes Peak).

Walking Kiev

Kiev - Part II

After a very long day and many hours of work Tim and his team finished their evaluation at the school they were visiting in Kiev. (After the evaluation is complete they share their findings and recommendations with the faculty - see picture where Tim is speaking to the staff)

The day ended with dinner at the home of the school director. For dessert they enjoyed "Kiev Torte". Tim writes....It was a very good cake and I've never had anything like it before.
