Happy Easter and Happy Spring!

Signs of spring are everywhere in Colorado Springs these days. It comes later here than in Germany because of our high altitude. We are loving it. And we are loving the lone tree in our front yard. We discovered today that it is a crab apple tree, and it is currently in full bloom (first two pictures). This brings back fond memories of my Grandpa who was a sort of apple tree doctor. He had a small apple orchard and was an expert at growing and grafting trees to make them produce more fruit.

Crazy Fun Weekend

Tyler and Luke and Luke's girlfriend, Andrea, were home with us for Easter. We had such a great time - far too short - but it was wonderful to all be together. Here are some snapshots from the weekend.

Tonight Tyler Shuman asked Jennifer Sartin to marry him and she said YES! Congratulations you two! We love you both (and I look forward to finally having another girl- and a daughter-in-law!!! - in our family of men!). Tentative wedding date - sometime in July! More to follow!
