Dalat International School

Tim is currently leading a boarding summit at Dalat International School in Malaysia.
He writes....'Dalat has been around a very long time and was first located in Vietnam before the Vietnam war. The property here is only 7 acres and they have crammed 500 students on this tiny campus that's right on the beach. As you can see there are huge high rises all around this part of the island. It's a very good place and very nice for me to be here.'
The first few pictures were taken from his hotel which is right on the beach and right beside the school. Tim arrived in Malaysia late at night and awoke to this view the following morning!

Nathan is a graduate of BFA. He works in I.T. at Dalat.

My $10 flea market find which I purchased years ago back in Germany for 18 Deutsch Marks. Tim finally found a spot to display it after years in storage.

Bangkok, Thailand

Tim is on a two week trip to Malaysia and Thailand. I am very thankful that he was able to help get our house set up before he left! Pray that God would strengthen him, because as you can imagine, he left here rather tired!
He had got to spend time on 3 different planes while en route  - first, a 2-1/2 hour flight to Houston, then a 14 hour flight to Tokyo, and then another 7-1/2 hour flight to Bangkok. That is a total of 24 hours on planes - whew!
He overnighted in Bangkok before flying on to Penang, Malaysia, today.

Beautiful modern hotel room with bathroom walls that are completely made out of glass (so you can soak in the tub and watch TV in the next room!) Bathroom has shades that can be drawn.....

A little glimpse into Tyler's world.....

I don't like the fact that both Luke and Tyler live far away from us, but I love it when they keep in touch and when they send pictures to their mama! Tyler sent these today. They were taken at a sort of open house that their newly formed ATC (Air Traffic Control) club hosted at LeTourneau University. The open house afforded interested students the opportunity to visit the aviation department and try out the simulators that ATC students spend a lot of time using. Notice Tyler's cool t-shirt designed by his brother Luke!

I took these pictures this afternoon while out on a long walk exploring our new neighborhood. We don't live very far from Garden of the Gods now.
