Back home!

Tim is back home sweet home after a 10 day trip representing ACSI at conventions across the States.
First stop was Chicago where he visited Moody and Wheaton.

While at Moody he ran into some friends from hometown Stow, Ohio!

Then on to Anaheim.....flying over The Grand Canyon on the way.


And then all the way across the country to a convention in DC. Tim was able to take a quick side trip to Philadelphia to visit his very good friend, Bill, from BFA days.

Coming home last night Tim captured this shot as his plane was landing in Chicago. Wow!

Tyler gets some visitors

Today Tyler's Aunt and Uncle, along with our good friends Ken and Marilyn, were in Longview, TX, visiting Tyler at LeTourneau University. Tyler was able to take them to the airport and show them where he has been spending a lot of his time. I'm just a little bit jealous! Thanks, Jesse and Doris for treating him to lunch and for taking some pictures for us to enjoy!

Mama's Brag Book - Part II

Tyler is now a pilot! He passed his flight test just over a week ago! This is a long-time dream come true for Tyler. Needless to say, we are very proud of him! We'll see how much confidence we have when its time for him to take us up in a little Cessna! I hope we don't have to wait too long before he can take his mom and dad out flying.

Tyler's floor at LeTourneau is decorating for Christmas this weekend. Their theme this year is "Christmas through the Ages" and they're incorporating a putt putt course through the hall and in each of the decorated rooms. They have a contest each year and for the past several years Tyler's floor has won.

Luke is a senior at Taylor University and loving it! He is majoring in Graphic Design. This past summer he had the opportunity of interning for a magazine in San Francisco.

Reunion

Tim is in Chicago representing ACSI at recruiting fairs at Wheaton College and Moody Bible Institute.

Tonight he is spending the evening with BFA alumni who are attending Wheaton. What a good looking group, don't you agree?! Man, we love these kids (well, I guess they're not kids anymore!) Wish I was there!






He also was able to spend some time with niece Rachel, who is a freshman at Wheaton.

Fun visit with family

Doris and Jesse, my sister and brother-in-law have been visiting from Black Forest Academy. We had a great few days together. I took them to Compassion headquarters today before they had to fly out of the Springs to their next destination.

A visit to Black Forest

Black Forest, Colorado, is very close to our house - approximately 6 miles away. I went to check it out the other day. The most exciting part was the scenic drive to my destination. Once I arrived at Black Forest I wasn't quite sure I was even there because it is so small, definitely a village and mainly comprises an intersection! At least I can finally say that I have been there!

You have watch this! It is amazing! I think it is so awesome to see HIS name being lifted up in Macy's of all places! I was moved to tears! Like my friend Fran observed, "This is more than cultural. This is TRUTH!"

Happy Birthday, Mom!

Today my wonderful mom is celebrating her 95th Birthday! How amazing is that? She is an incredible lady, and I am very grateful to God for her.
These three pictures were taken approximately one week ago when some grandchildren and great grandchildren were visiting mom.

A first for me

Today was my first time ever to vote as an American citizen! Since becoming a citizen in November, 2006, we have lived overseas, but today I am on American soil, and today I voted!
