These are a few of my favorite things

I have been looking through old photos this week and feeling a little nostalgic. These pictures were taken in Adelboden, Switzerland, one of our favorite places on earth!












This is the bench that Tim and I were sitting on when he proposed to me in September, 1986. The bench is located in Adelboden and overlooks the majestic Alps!

Auto and Technik Museum

During our week-end away, we visited a great museum which houses a large collection of trains, planes, and cars. The section that displayed American cars was very impressive. Below is just a sampling of what we saw.

Concorde

We were able to tour the Concorde on Sunday. It should have been a fun experience, but it wasn't! Germany was experiencing hurricane-force winds that day, and we felt very unsafe while on the plane; it kept swaying because of the way it was suspended in the air! That was the quickest tour of an airplane that we've ever had. We deboarded in record time. We were afraid (well, I was afraid!!) that the plane might topple over with us in it!
We thought momentarily of Tyler, though, and took some pictures for him!

Rothenburg ob der Tauber

Tim and I were given the very generous gift of a week-end away, and we decided to take it this past week-end. We went to Rothenburg, a 3-1/2 drive from where we live. We enjoyed a wonderful week-end together, relaxing and exploring the old walled city.
