Christmas good-bye party

This week my small group had a Christmas dinner party in our home. It was such a fun time hanging out together for the evening. Usually our group time is from 7:45 until 9:00 pm which is too short. This week we had an extra two hours since they came for supper.
I am very sad that two girls from our group will not be returning to BFA after Christmas. They are Swiss and plan to attend Swiss(not American) university. That means they need to go back into the Swiss school system which prepares them for college entrance.
Their school starts in January and that is why they are leaving mid-year. We are going to miss them, but we hope they will come and visit us. They only live two hours away.

A walk in the snow

Technical Drawing Class

Tim's technical drawing class will soon be finished their projects(hopefully!). They have only four classes left before the end of the term. I visited their class today and brought them some twizzlers. They were very excited! We can't buy twizzlers here in Germany This treat came with Tim when he returned from his trip to Canada two weeks ago.

Christmas Celebrations in Romania

I asked permission from fellow ACSI colleagues to post these pictures that we received from them. I think they are priceless! They were taken two nights ago at the Christmas program of Emmanuel Kindergarten in Oradea, Romania. I love the creativity in the balloon trees and the costumes. Kandern Christmas Fest

Last night some of our students performed at an outdoor Christmas fest that our town of Kandern hosted. Members of our elementary school, middle school, and high school all sang and our mime team also performed. I have included some pictures of the different performances as well as of the onlookers.

Chapel talk

At BFA we have chapel once a week on Friday's. The chaplain's office provides a variety of speakers throughout the school year. Sometimes they are even students! Tim gets the opportunity to speak in chapel several times a year.

Some very special people in my life

I am very thankful for the group of ladies that I get to meet with weekly for Bible study and fellowship. I am also thankful for Rana, a new friend that God has brought into my life.
Here is Rana with Bonnie, one of the amazing ladies in my group. We all went out for breakfast this morning since this is the last time we will meet together before Christmas break.

I couldn't resist posting these! What a cute dog, don't you agree?! She is such a lap dog and loves to snuggle really close to us - too close sometimes! She is also a good neck pillow!
