Family dinner

Today we had an early Christmas get-together with our family who are here with us at BFA.

Checking out the new(sleeping) baby. Why did he have to sleep the whole time?!

It is wonderful to have Luke home with us for Christmas!

THE place to stay in Prague

The Czech Inn in Prague. A wonderfully modern, clean, quiet hostel very close to a major tram stop. Highly Recommended. www.czech-inn.com

At the reception doors with Luke and Tyler.

It's hard to get good pictures of the apartment we rented. Outstanding rooms, bathroom, and kitchen.

Unusual sights in Prague

Potatoe soup in a bread bowl. Cool!!

Here in Prague it is a Christmas tradition is to buy fresh carp to take home for dinner.

The carp guys are preparing the Christmas tradition. Yummy.

This was better than the carp. These are little rolls of bread that are cooked over a fire and then sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon. Good.

Check out how they deal with illegal parking in Czech. They simply come and take your car away!! You don't want to mess with the Czech police.

Prague Day 2

Tim, Tyler, and Luke taking in the sights along Charles Bridge. Wow.

Old Town Square at noon.

Old Town Square at night.

Night time shot of Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the distance. Sorry this is so grainy.

Through the security glass

We are waiting for a glimpse of our son Luke near baggage claim.

Finally, there he is! He made it home.

It's so good to have him with us for the holidays.

The "cart guy" in Zurich wanted his picture taken too. Don't you love to see people who enjoy their work?

Christmas in Kandern

This is the main street in our town decorated for Christmas. No snow yet!

An evening festival in Kandern that happens at this time of year. Large logs are split and then lit on fire. Here, some German boys are roasting bread dough.

Christmas cardmaking

This past week my small group of girls came over for supper and then an evening of Christmas cardmaking. I was amazed at their creativity! They produced some wonderful masterpieces that they are excited about sharing with their family and friends.
