God's Creatures

I saw three different herds of deer in three different parts of "the park" yesterday. They are generally very tame, and I think it is because they are so used to seeing people (of which there were 100's yesterday in Garden of the Gods). I was standing very close to this herd - they were grazing in a meadow as the sun was setting.

What every mother likes to watch! Do you see how high these kids are?! There were 150 university students from U of C in Boulder that descended on Garden of the Gods yesterday afternoon, and these are four of them.

Sunset in Garden of the Gods

I was leaving Garden of the Gods after hiking there this afternoon, and I got to experience another crazy cool, painted by the Master Artist sunset. The colors kept changing as the sun sank lower and dusk settled in. Breathtaking.
