Michele is in town visiting, so we had a mini BFA reunion last night, a very sweet time together. Thank-you Sam and Jane for the fabulous grilled steak and lobster and your warm hospitality!
All of us are former BFA staff, but a part of us will always be there - tenacious heartstrings that cannot be broken!

Yaounde, Cameroon
After 20 hours on planes, Tim returned last night from a visit to Rain Forest International School in Yaounde, Cameroon. In his role as a school consultant he was there for four days to assist the school with their educational goals.
Here are few iphone shots taken of their brand new campus.
Tim had some free time on his last day while waiting for his flight back home, so he did a sketch outside of the guesthouse where he was staying.
Sketching on the very LONG plane ride home!

What if you believed God for the impossible?
I have been challenged recently with the thought....."What if you believed God for the impossible?"
When we were in Breckenridge earlier this month, we did a lot of hiking on the mountain and also in the town. We came across some very beautiful homes. Tim and I had fun picking out our dream home, and we also talked about how great it would be have a BIG house so we could host lots of people, especially our BFA friends.
Part of me would never want a big house because I would not want to clean it (or heat it, or furnish it)! But another part of me would love to own a large home so that we could make it available, especially to alumni and staff from BFA who need a place to retreat to.
Tim and I do not yet own a home. We are currently renting. I am trusting God for what seems at the moment to be an impossibility - owning a home of our own. While I am at it, why not trust Him for a BIG house?! He is a BIG God!
What about you? What if you believed God for the impossible?!

Another Saturday, Another Hike
Saturday was a beautiful, sunny day so Tim and I headed into the mountains and did a 10.5 km. hike. It was challenging, and we were tired and sore by the time we reached the "finish line" but it was so worth it. We look forward to doing the same route again soon.
Some of these pictures were taken on the hike, some were taken at other spots.
How does this tree manage to survive? I am amazed again and again because there are many like this where we live - growing out of rocks. A great illustration of being grounded in Him and having roots going down deep.
"Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green and they never stop producing fruit". Jeremiah 17:8
